Our search and recovery facilities use digital side scan sonar and ROV's when needed, this equipment allows us to scan turbid and deep waters for almost any lost vessel, car, plane or sizable item that warrants recovery. Today's technology gives us the ability to scan with a high degree of accuracy using various GPS mapping and sonar frequencies. The small size and ease of use of modern sonar's and ROV's gives us the ability to travel quickly to locations where recovery is needed.

Promotion Marine uses closed underwater lift bags capable of lifting about 20 tons from the water. For planes and boats we have two 16' bags for wings or side support, a 60 ft tube for wings and some 1ton pillow and bolder bags for general lifts. A 5hp compressor with a four way manifold for air delivery helps to control the lift and bring the vessel or plane to the nearest suitable egress for final disposition. As a rule the general location of the object is usually known and a quick scan will pin point it in a short time. Our divers will place a properly sized bag on it and bring it up to the surface for stabilizing and towing. Should the depth be to deep for a diver a ROV will place a line on the object and the lift would be done that way.

Pro Motion Marine specializes in full underwater search and recovery. Utilizing twin side scan sonar technology, underwater search success is all but guaranteed when searching for any object of substantial size. Cars, boats, snowmobiles and the like are usually easily located when the search area is well identified. This side scan technology was successful in locating the debris field of a small commercial plane crash. Further examination of the images detected human remains in almost 100 meters of water, several hundred meters from the crash site. Side scan sonar functions well in most water conditions, including “zero visibility”. Coupled with G.P.S. (Global Positioning Systems), we are able to review the imaging, and return to the site to confirm our findings with divers or underwater cameras. This also allows us to prepare a route to the point of egress, advise authorities of the area of recovery and properly document our endeavors.

Pro-Motion Marine is equipped with “closed marine lift” bags which are attached to surface compressed air sources. With several bags of different dimensions, we are able to lift and tow sunk 50 foot yachts. This equipment can raise 20 tons including helicopters, small planes, cars, trucks, ships wheels and anchors.

Our fully equipped mobile support unit carries all of the required equipment as well as tow our commercially registered search and rescue vessel or staging platform to sites in a rapid and efficient manner.
